Recently ... I have been building a body of non-figurative painting - developing imagery I explored more than a decade ago. This has produced some unexpected outcomes. The 'frame' motif can be considered as a 'threshold', or as a 'containing' structure, but one which is unstable. I would like these paintings to be invitations for the viewer to find something beyond what they are looking at. To see, from the threshold, something more.
Latest news ... following a successful exhibition las summer, I am now taking time to build a new body of work. This will continue to explore the possibilities in the "Plan & Elevation" works, as wells making some new collages based on derelict cinemas and theatres.

For a couple of decades I was Head of Art at Marlborough College, Wiltshire.
I have now retired from teaching, which gives me greater freedom to work in my studio.
I studied Fine Art at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK, and I continue to exhibit as well as sell my work privately.
