During, and since 'lockdown', I have been revisiting non-figurative painting - developing imagery I explored a decade ago. This has produced some unexpected outcomes. The 'frame' motif can be considered as a 'threshold', or as a 'containing' structure, but one which is unstable. I would like these paintings to be invitations for the viewer to find something beyond what they are looking at. To stand on the threshold of something more.
