The following series of mixed media pieces began as a book of 'Stanzas' (rooms). I used a basic cube structure to suggest an interior then, due largely to qualities of torn and scrap papers, introduced the idea of suggesting empty, or abandoned theatres and cinemas. A news story reporting the finding and restoration of the last grand piano in Gaza in 2015 further fuelled my interest.
